Kaspi AI: what it is and how sellers can use it

Kaspi AI is the official artificial intelligence assistant for sellers of the Shop on Kaspi.kz. It creates a product listing in a few minutes: picks the name, category and specifications, writes a description and enhances the photos. Here is how it works, why it may not work, what to do with a listing stuck in "Under review" — and what the assistant cannot do.

What Kaspi AI is

Kaspi.kz unveiled Kaspi AI at its annual new services presentation on October 31, 2025, and the full rollout for partners followed in January 2026. It is an assistant for sellers: instead of filling in a product listing by hand — inventing a name, choosing a category, typing in specifications and writing a description — the seller photographs the product and artificial intelligence assembles the listing on its own. According to the Kaspi Guide for partners, a finished listing takes about three minutes instead of hours of manual work.

Content is created in Russian and Kazakh — at the presentation the company specifically highlighted the quality of generation in Kazakh. The final decision always stays with the seller: Kaspi positions the assistant as a smart helper, not a replacement for a person.

What Kaspi AI can do

  • picks the product name and the right catalog category;
  • fills in the main and additional specifications;
  • writes a selling description in Russian and Kazakh;
  • enhances product photos and generates missing ones;
  • accepts as input a photo of the product, a link to the product in another store, PDF, Excel and PPTX files, or a photo of the tag or the box.

How to create a listing with Kaspi AI: step by step

  1. Open the Kaspi Pay app and go to the "Shop on Kaspi.kz" section.
  2. Choose "Products" → "Add product" → "Create product with Kaspi AI".
  3. Photograph the product or attach a link, a document, or a photo of the tag or the box.
  4. Review the suggested listing: regenerate it if needed (up to 3 times) or edit it manually.
  5. Submit the listing for moderation — it usually takes up to 3 business days.

Can a listing created by Kaspi AI be changed

Yes, and it is important to understand this before submitting for moderation. The seller has two tools: full regeneration — the assistant rebuilds the listing from scratch, up to 3 attempts per product — and manual editing of any field: name, category, specifications, description and photos. Check the specifications especially carefully: the assistant fills them in from photos and documents, and a mistake in size, volume or package contents after publication turns into returns and disputes with buyers.

After moderation the listing is no different from one created manually — you can edit it the usual way through the seller dashboard.

Why Kaspi AI may not work

If the "Create product with Kaspi AI" button is missing or the assistant fails to assemble a listing, the usual causes are these:

  • An old version of Kaspi Pay. The assistant lives inside the Kaspi Pay app — update it to the latest version in the App Store or Google Play.
  • The category or brand requires approval. For some brands and categories Kaspi requires prior permission to sell — without it the listing cannot be created either manually or with AI.
  • Blurry photos. If the product cannot be recognized from the photo, the assistant cannot pick the category and specifications. Reshoot in good light and add a photo of the tag or the box.
  • The regeneration limit is used up. Each listing gets up to 3 attempts — after that, only manual editing.

The "Under review" listing: what it means

Every listing goes to Kaspi moderation after it is created — and that includes listings from Kaspi AI. The standard review period is up to 3 business days. While the listing sits in the "Under review" tab, the product is not on sale; once approved, it appears in the catalog. If the review takes noticeably longer than three business days, contact the Kaspi Guide chat — sometimes a listing gets stuck because the category requires additional documents.

How to get a better listing from Kaspi AI: tips

  • Shoot the product in daylight on a neutral background — the assistant recognizes the category more accurately.
  • Attach a photo of the tag, label or box: that is where the composition, dimensions and item numbers live, and they go straight into the specifications.
  • If your supplier has a spec sheet in PDF or Excel, attach it — it is more reliable than recognition from photos.
  • If a similar product exists in another store, provide the link — the assistant uses it as a source of specifications.
  • Reread the description before submitting: remove promises the product cannot keep — they are a source of bad reviews.

What Kaspi AI does not do

It is important to understand the tool's boundaries: Kaspi AI solves the content task — and only that. Once the listing is created and passes moderation, the seller's daily work begins, and the assistant takes no part in it:

  • prices and the Buybox — Kaspi AI does not watch competitors and does not manage prices;
  • profit — it does not calculate margin, commissions or the break-even point;
  • sales analytics — it does not show which products make money and which just churn turnover at zero;
  • orders and rating — it does not handle returns, cancellations or service quality.

Kaspi AI and other Kaspi AI features

Kaspi is developing artificial intelligence not only for sellers. In June 2026 the Kaspi Shop began gradually rolling out photo-based product search for buyers: photograph an item — find it in the catalog. For a seller this is one more reason to watch photo quality in listings: the more accurate the image, the higher the chance the product gets found through visual search. The virtual assistant in the Kaspi Guide chat is also part of this ecosystem — it answers sellers' questions in the app.

Warning: "Kaspi AI investments" does not exist

A separate note on a sensitive subject. Offers to "invest through Kaspi AI" circulate on the internet and in messengers: they promise that Kaspi's artificial intelligence will trade for you and deliver guaranteed income. This is fraud. Kaspi.kz has no investment product called Kaspi AI — the real Kaspi AI creates product listings for sellers and has no access whatsoever to users' money.

If you want to invest in Kaspi as a company, there is exactly one legal path: buy Kaspi.kz shares (ticker KSPI) on an exchange — Kazakhstan's KASE or the American Nasdaq — through a licensed broker with trading member status (for example, Alatau City Invest or any other broker from the list). The official list of trading members is published by the exchange itself at kase.kz.

  • never transfer money to anyone for "access to Kaspi AI investments" — no such product exists;
  • "guaranteed returns" is a marker of fraud: no legal instrument promises them;
  • "managers" on WhatsApp and Telegram who rush you into a transfer have no relation to Kaspi or to brokers;
  • before opening an account, check the broker against the KASE trading members list and verify its license in the registries of the ARDFM (the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market);
  • if you have already sent money to scammers — contact the police and your bank as quickly as possible.
